Hello,

Trained as a photographer, my creative journey has led me beyond the lens into the realm of abstraction, where form, colour, and texture take precedence over representation. Now working primarily in acrylics, I explore the interplay between memory, landscape, and emotion, translating impressions of the world around me into vibrant, expressive compositions.

Living in Tavira, Portugal, my work is deeply influenced by the shifting moods of the sea and the rugged interior landscapes of the country. The rich textures of the land, the ever-changing light, and the fluidity of water all find their way into my paintings—sometimes in sweeping gestures, other times in layered subtleties.

Drawing inspiration from the Abstract Expressionists, I embrace spontaneity, movement, and the power of gesture to evoke a sense of place and feeling. My process is intuitive, allowing the paint to guide me as much as I direct it, creating pieces that invite the viewer to engage on both an emotional and sensory level.

My work represents an ongoing exploration of abstraction, where each work becomes a dialogue between memory, material, and the act of painting itself.

I welcome commissions and to enquire about any of the paintings please email abs@agamagp.com or use the contact page.
